About the Travel Awards
EASIAM 2026 will provide a limited number of travel awards to support graduate students and early-career researchers who wish to participate in the 19th EASIAM Annual Meeting so they can gain the experience and exposure that comes from attending and presenting at SIAM conferences.
Award Support
Selected awardees will receive:
(1) Registration fee waiver
(2) Accommodation support during the conference period, arranged by the EASIAM 2026 Organizing Committee
The number of awards will depend on the available budget and the number of qualified applicants.
Eligibility
Applications are open to:
- Graduate students
- Early-career researchers within 6 years of PhD completion at the time of the conference
Required Documents
Applicants should submit the following materials.
For Student Applicants
(1) Applicant Statement: Short summary of why you are requesting conference support, the rationale for your request (financial need, scholarship, research, etc.), and your interest in the conference. If you are presenting, please include your paper/poster/symposium title and the names of any co-authors/organizers.
(2) CV: An updated copy of your curriculum vitae.
(3) Letter of Recommendation: A letter from your advisor or senior colleague noting the applicant's achievements, potential, and any special circumstances that may justify receiving an award. The recommendation letter should be sent directly by the advisor or letter writer to easiam2026@gmail.com.
For Early-Career Researcher Applicants
(1) Applicant Statement: Short summary of why you are requesting conference support, the rationale for your request (financial need, scholarship, research, etc.), and your interest in the conference. If you are presenting, please include your paper/poster/symposium title and the names of any co-authors/organizers.
(2) CV: An updated copy of your curriculum vitae.
* Letters of recommendation are recommended but NOT required for early career applicants.

Note for Student Applicants: The advisor’s recommendation letter must be sent separately by the advisor or letter writer to the same email address with the subject line: EASIAM 2026 Travel Award Recommendation – [Applicant Full Name]

- Applying for a travel award is separate from abstract submission and conference registration.
- Travel award support is limited and not all qualified applicants can be supported.
